Pre-checkout shipping
Show the delivery cost before the checkout form.
Give shoppers a chance to check shipping on the product or cart page using the rates your Shopify store already has.
The problem
Unexpected shipping cost creates avoidable uncertainty.
Shopify’s own shipping guidance notes that calculated rates surface at checkout and that late shipping costs can contribute to abandoned checkouts. ShipCalc provides an earlier storefront view of those configured rates.
With ShipCalc
Set the expectation while the shopper can still act.
A visible shipping calculator helps shoppers compare delivery options before moving into checkout, without asking the merchant to maintain a second rate system.

Questions
Common questions.
Can Shopify show calculated rates before checkout by default?
Shopify documents that calculated shipping rates are normally calculated at checkout. ShipCalc adds a storefront calculator for earlier visibility.
Does the calculator guarantee conversion improvement?
No tool can guarantee a conversion result. ShipCalc gives shoppers earlier information and provides quote-activity data you can evaluate.
Will checkout still calculate shipping?
Yes. Checkout remains the final place where Shopify confirms the rate for the complete customer address and order.
